Alors qu’il ouvre la route, c’est Hirvonen qui fait la bonne opération dans cette spéciale puisqu’il augmente son avance. Ostberg est désormais à 10s alors que P.Solberg est à 20s (11s4 perdu dans cette spéciale sur le pilote officiel Ford).
Pour Latvala, c’est bien pire puisque le jeune finlandais perd 21s9 sur son coéquipier, et est désormais à 32s8 d’Hirvonen. Ogier limite la casse et double Latvala pour la 4e place mais le français est loin d’Hirvonen, puisqu’il a maintenant 30s de retard.

Latvala : “Nous sommes allés un peu large et nous avons tapé un mur de neige en perdant le pare-chocs et d’autres parties, avec le pare-brise fissuré. Les conditions sont très difficiles.”
Andersson : “Le pare-brise est embuée. Difficile de trouver le rythme.”
Loeb : “Je ne prend aucun risque. Je n’attaque pas trop, ce n’est pas excitant.”
Ogier : “J’ai crevé à la fin de la spéciale. Beaucoup de neige stagnante, difficile de voir. Pas vraiment de risques, j’essayerai ce matin.”
